The Weekend Wake Up! The Final Week - BACON SARNIES! by Simon Brace
Sat March 10th - 9:00 am
What a way to bow out - The final show was full of 80`s hits with a bit of 70`s for good measure. Karen was co-hosting in her own `unique` style and we finally got round to a good argument. Culture with your cornflakes peaked with Rossinni and `The William Tell Overture` (you know, the theme to the lone ranger). Featured biscuit had a twist for the final week as Karen left the studio for 15 minutes only to return with bacon sarnies and M&S chocolate rolls and a big mug of coffee!! What a star you are Karen and thanks for everything over the last 4 weeks. Topics of conversation included steam trains, amazon rain forests and the male domians of fires and barbeques.... I would like to say a BIG thankyou to everyone involved in Egremont FM and to those that put in all the hard work behind the scenes putting all the techy stuff together. Without you there would not have been an Egremont FM. Hope all that listened enjoyed the shows, so until next time, it`s goodbye from me and it`s goodbye from Karen on The Weekend Wake-Up!.....

The Weekend Wake Up! Week 3 - `Chocolate Hobnobs` by Simon Brace
Sat March 3rd - 9:00 am
Three weeks in and Karen and myself are nearly getting everything right. Requests and dedications came in thick and fast, and as usual we had a bit of an on-air moan at each other. Culture with Your Cornflakes featured The Barber of Saville -`Largo al Facotum` and must of woken most of the listeners from their sleep. The picture in the top corner looks nothing like me (honest) and I think is a get-back from Karen over some of the things I said on air (just you wait Karen). Featured biscuits were chocolate hobnobs and arrived a little early so both Karen and I ate too many by the end of the show, but how can they be bettered for the final week....tune in to see.
