Welcome to the Folk Float website.
The Folk Float is a unique mobile gallery in a specially-customized milk float. Designed by Public Works for Creative Egremont, its first assignment was to tour around Egremont and nearby villages in West Cumbria for several months in late summer 2007. The Folk Float is now working in Kings Cross as part of Public Works' project DIY Regeneration and will return to Egremont in the Autumn.
This website began as a live record of what happened during the Folk Float's first tour, with photos of you and your donations uploaded straight from the Float by phone - why not take a look at
what we collected!
For further info on future plans for the Folk Float please contact us at Creative Egremont.
